The Hongkong Prize

The Hongkong Prize is a scholarship contest that recognises the academic achievements and extracurricular activities of high school students. It encourages them to pursue their passions and broaden their global perspectives. It also provides them with a platform to showcase their creative ideas and talent. The winners are celebrated at an awards ceremony and receive prizes including shopping vouchers and F&B benefits.

The HK Prize is open to all secondary school students in Hong Kong. Participating students are nominated by their teachers. Students must submit their works online before the submission deadline. Each work is judged by a panel of judges. The winning entry is the one that best reflects the theme of the competition and provides an in-depth research into the relationship between historical developments and changes in society. The top three entries will receive cash and other prizes.

This year’s award ceremony was held on 25 September at HKCEC Hall 3. The event included a screening of the 10 winning films and an awards presentation ceremony. The finalists were chosen according to their written reports and a face-to-face interview. The writing reports were evaluated for their relevance to the theme, the systematic use of collected materials, objectivity in analysis, and citation of bibliography and footnotes.

In addition to the main prizes, there were three runner-up awards and two special prizes. The HK Prize aims to inspire young scientists and provide them with an opportunity to make a difference in the world. It is the highest honor in scientific research in Hong Kong. Winners are encouraged to pursue innovative exploration, establish themselves in Hong Kong, serve the nation, and contribute to the world.

The winners of this prestigious international science prize are named by a jury of scholars from around the world. Their research is deemed to be of significant impact and has the potential to advance the field of astronomy significantly. The winner is presented with an engraved gold medal and a sum of money.
