HK Film Awards

In a bid to support and encourage the development of local filmmakers, the HK Film Awards is one of Hong Kong’s premier film competitions. Its judging process is impartial and transparent, meaning participants can trust that their work will be assessed fairly. The top ten winners receive both monetary prizes and shopping vouchers, with the winning entry receiving the coveted award plaque.

This year’s winners include a young man using technology to assist homeless individuals, a scientist making a big impact on poverty alleviation, and an artist who interprets human rights concepts through fine art. The winners were selected by a panel of experts including scholars and experts from both Hong Kong and overseas, who were impressed with their pioneering research achievements and commitment to the community.

In his speech at the awards ceremony, the Chief Secretary said that each winner was a shining example of Chinese people who have shown the Chinese nation in a good light worldwide and contributed to betterment of humanity. He also praised the students for their creativity and ingenuity, and encouraged them to continue to explore their potential and give back to society.
